Connect with Yourself

I’m on vacation this week, so instead of writing a blog, I’m sharing one of our “Take a Moment” micro-meditations, and a quote by Brianna Wiest that resonates with me and is interesting to ponder: “The universe whispers until it screams, and happy people listen while the call is still quiet.”

I chose a meditation called “Connect with Yourself” to pair with Brianna’s quote, because to “hear the call” of the universe, we need to get quiet and tune in.

If you haven’t discovered it yet, please visit our collection of twenty diverse “Take a Moment” micro-meditations that are all just one to two minutes long. Meant to make taking mindful pauses as easy as possible, these meditations were created in partnership with Katie Dutcher, a mindfulness and meditation teacher who says, “I always invite my students to start small. The most beneficial practices are like a steady and peaceful heartbeat, woven right into the fabric of your daily life. Even tiny pauses yield big results.”

Take a Moment to Connect with Yourself

In today’s micro-meditation, Katie asks us to turn our attention inward with curiosity. As we sit and breathe, Katie asks, “What is it like to be me right now? What’s going on in this body, this mind, this heart? Simply sit and sense inward, becoming aware of your bodily sensations and emotions. Let yourself sense your present moment experience, just exactly as you are in this moment.”
