Let it Be

While on vacation this week, I’m sharing a short poem by my father about different approaches to life, and the wisdom of allowing things to be just as they are. I paired the poem with “Spaciousness of Sky”—a lovely Take a Moment micro-meditation that guides us to envision the spaciousness of sky all around us, and then sense it within us. In less than two minutes, we can open ourselves to the expansive energy of the universe—a state of trust and peace that helps us drop our struggles and let life unfold in its own time.

The thief wants to steal it

The scholar wants to debate it

The dictator wants to control it

The scientist wants to explain it

The fearful want to escape it

The fool wants to manipulate it

The wise just allow it to be
