Pause Posts

In last week’s blog, I shared how I’m planning to make half of my Quest for Eternal Sunshine Friday newsletters a simple offering of a “Take a Moment” micro-meditation paired with a quote to ponder. My aim is to lift the pressure of needing to complete a new essay every week, and also to give each one more time to blossom into its fullest potential.

I love sharing our wonderful array of micro-meditations—all only one to two minutes long—because even a very short meditation break helps us calm down, feel grounded in our body, and more relaxed and composed in a world that often feels tumultuous and overwhelming. Because tiny pauses in our busy lives are so important and impactful, I’m going to call these quote and micro-meditation newsletters “Pause Posts.”

Our “Take a Moment” micro-meditations were created in partnership with Katie Dutcher—an expert mindfulness and meditation teacher, and an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist—who says, “I always invite my students and clients to start small. The most beneficial practices are like a steady and peaceful heartbeat, woven right into the fabric of your daily life.”

So here we go with our first “Pause Post”—a quote from Rumi, and a lovely “Breathe Like the Ocean” micro-meditation. I hope you enjoy them!

Tiny pauses to be right here, right now can have big results. Visit and bookmark our library of twenty Take a Moment micro-meditations—all under two minutes long—that make taking mindful pauses as easy as possible. We invite you to "Take a Moment" to find the calm that is always within you.
