Short Meditations to Soothe & Connect with Yourself

“Take Five” meditations—all about five minutes long—offer opportunities for surprisingly powerful experiences in small, accessible bits of time. These meditations were created in partnership with Katie Dutcher, therapist and expert mindfulness and meditation teacher.

For many of us, days seems to move quickly with many external expectations and tasks, and it can feel challenging to make time for ourselves and our needs. Taking five minutes to tune in to what’s happening internally is a meaningful way to build self-awareness, acceptance, and the capacity to respond to ourselves with kindness and care. What’s more, these five minutes can transform our perspective, our energy, and our mood.

Small pauses can produce meaningful shifts. We invite you to Take Five right now to come home to yourself.

In this somatic practice, utilize the power of soothing touch, combined with sounds, affirmations, and visualization. The hands, arms, and face are rich in specialized nerve endings that respond to gentle stroking by signaling safety to the brain and activating the body’s soothing parasympathetic response.
